Join me for a day of creative exploration, where you’ll make a beautiful concertina book inspired by the natural world.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore mark-making, monoprint, collage and more to create a book that’s unique and original, full of your own ideas.
Whether you’re a total beginner or more experienced, this day is about creative discovery and connection with nature.
Set in beautiful countryside, Domaine de Capies is a rustic French farmhouse with stunning south facing views over vineyards and hills. 10 minutes from Limoux, 30 minutes from Carcassonne. Guidance will be in English & French. The workshop is inclusive & open to all abilities.
You will learn how to:
- Create a beautiful concertina book, a simple folded structure that requires no stitching and allows ideas to flow naturally.
- Explore expressive techniques and non-traditional mark-making methods
- Experiment with loose, gestural lines, textures and text
- Embrace the unexpected and enjoy the process!
I will be your guide every step of the way, and you’ll leave not only with your handmade book, but new techniques and fresh ideas to continue creating beyond the workshop too.
Our host Tilly will provide a delicious organic vegetarian lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
